Flying through the wind - Really

He was kite surfing in Florida when a tropical storm (Fay) was approaching the area.
Why in the world would he even think about doing it at that time?
He gets thrown in the air twice and gets banged up against the wall. Best of all, he was not wearing a helmet. All that he suffered was a broken rib, spine injury, bruises all over his body and his brain.

Hopefully next time he will wear a helmet and be aware of the weather conditions in the area.
